This photo is interesting to me. I am writing this post in a house that is in the the picture. It is at the bottom of Billy Goat Hill, the junction of Garnet and Argent Streets. The Steam Tram looks like a noisy and smoky affair. Best of all is the chap in the foreground riding his bicycle.

Tomorrow I’ll ride my bicycle to work down that same way. I will be looking to see which building was the Barrier Dining Rooms. If I took a step ladder maybe I could recreate the photo…
