I took Em along for a try out with the Surf Gromits yesterday. He had lots of fun surfing at Diggers beach. He also got to meet some bloke called Occy which is apparently very cool or something. What would I know - until Tom Selleck makes a come back, I'm the uncool manly hairy man in the photo.

Took a break off work today to go and try to catch a photo of Ev down the beach. He was far too slippery in the surf and I just got a few distant blurry shots as he scooted away from me on his shortboard. I did get a bunch of other shots of some of the other guys down there though....
Even one of the old fella :p , Adam... he looked a bit like a monkey in the pic though.
If any of you guys recognise yourselves feel free to use the pics...

Emmy, Pippy and I took a walk down the beach . Here's a few snaps from the 'Pandanus Spaceship'.
In other news we are juggling our lives in the usual chaotic way. Like a toddler running or a butterfly flying, life feels as if it should fall ruinously apart. Yet we still have food on the table and money in the bank, it is all good.
Ev is just about to complete his very first term of school, Em just is. Cheri is working at the Uni and studying a Buddhism subject, Jay, much like Em, is. I am working three days a week building drupal websites and the rest of the week I'm holding the fort at home. Keeping my nose to the grindstone so that hopefully in a year or so we can head off for a little adventure.
Messing about in boats

I seem to have been very busy paddling around all the watery bits of the Mid North Coast this summer. After my sojourn with Matthew up the Mighty Boambee, Nial, Cameron and I explored the Treacherous Bonville Waters. We were overun by crowds of local Bonvillians in fast moving kayaks. I even saw David Foulkes speed past in a kayak called Finn.
Today we rounded off our adventures with a trip down the Great Bellinger River. All the way from the mighty headwaters (Gordonville Crossing) down to the seething hive of humanity that is the city of Bellingen itself. Cameron had to rush off but Nial, Emrys and I availed ourselves of the Parlours of Sin.

Cameron, Dan, Nial and myself went for a paddle up Coffs Creek on Sunday. We had a lovely paddle and Cameron was kind enough to buy me breakfast in return use of me and the Ute to pick up his new boat. We had a lovely time on the creek picked up a bit of garbage then went and played in the surf.
On the illy-alley-o
Cameron and I had a lovely paddle off the beach this morning. No dolphins, I've not seen any dolphins for a bit, I must not be paddling enough. I will try and remedy that. We got out through the breakers with no spills or loss of life and the swell was pretty good. So good in fact poor old Cam got a bit sea sick on the way back. He didn't chuck, shame really, would have made a great photo.

Emrys and I have just returned from a lovely arvo spent snorkeling in the rock-pools on the south headland. I took my camera and went a bit snap happy. I am really happy with some of the pictures I took, check out the sea anemone ...
A Moonee day out with Dot

Gosh I'm tired. Fresh air is bad for ones health I am sure.
Dot, Emmy and I visited the farmers markets in Coffs today and afterwards zipped into Moonee. We met up with some fellow home-ed'ers chatted and paddled whilst the varmints played.
We saw dolphins surfing and a whale leapt out of the water a couple of times. The kids played amongst the rockpools moving the winkles and starfish from pool to pool. All according to some complex kid economy. I'm sure the poor creatures were very confused.

Urunga Sailing
Sunday was a lovely clear winter day. We took our little Heron sailing dinghy down to the Urunga sailing club with Max and Jimmy. There was almost no wind at all when we arrived so Jimmy and Em cycled off to the play park whilst Max and I set up the boat. The sailing club members were very friendly and gave us a cup of tea and some cake whilst we waited for the wind to arrive.
