Our last weekend in Chiang Mai

Sometimes after training we buy these delicious little banana leaf wraps with salty glutinous rice and sweet fresh coconut inside. Mmmm. See the picture for a clue how to make a dozen for me.

We'll be finishing training this weekend as we have just booked a train to Chumphong. It is leaving on Monday night and arriving Tuesday night. We'll have a morning in Bangkok, wonder if we can get a shower at the station?

Here is a really embarrasing video Evan made. He is trying to show how silly I look when doing my special crazy exercises:

WBC tomorrow!

Tomorrow we have a Muay Thai Tournament near the gym, Toyota is paying for it. I imagine I will get to see how incredibly crap I really am after one month of training. A Thai bloke will be defending his title against a Japanese bloke. Funny old world.

Here are a few pics we have been snapping lately. Ev got punched by a ten year old kid called, Oyp. He was very pleased with the impression created. We visited a fine Wat yesterday and admired golden horses and dragons sphincters.

Felix, Brendan and Ev - Pad Work with Wong et al

Here are few snaps from training today, I got more I can send out or copy to a thumb-drive if any of you want copies.

Wong, Josh and Takumi all fought tonight at Gawilla Stadium. They all did well. Wong and Josh both won their fights and young Takumi put up a brave fight but was outgunned.

I'm not going to go into details but Ev, the rest of the gym and I had a great night.

Pad Work

Well we only have ten days of training left. I'm pretty sad about that because I am really enjoying myself. Lanna Muay Thai has lived up to our hopes and more. Here is vid we made yesterday of Evan and me doing pad work in the ring.

Three Busy Days...

Flight of the Gibbons is a well organised and highly professional outfit who herd tourists through the rainforest canopy. The guides very kindly took our cameras and photographed us as we cavorted through the trees. So here are a few of the many happy pics. I'm not quite sure of the point, fun I guess.

Maesa Elephant Show

Here is the Maesa Elephant Show we saw yesterday with Donna and Suzanne.
Performing animals... oyoyoi.

Lolliphants

We visited the Maesa Elephant Camp today. We encountered a lot of happy elephants and then drove round the hills a lot. Tired now. Early morning Muay Thai tomorrow.

G'night.

Last I saw of Evan.
