None of my useless maps show Wedds Road. I know where it is but that's not the point. Anyhow I took my fabulous bike for a ride up into the fire trails between Middle Boambee (Wedds) Road and Englands Road.
This was the ride that really drove home why bicycles are often known as 'Push-Bikes' in fact I did actually wonder if at times they should be called 'Carry-Bikes'. Holy Cow, those hills are so steep! I've walked the same trails with the KC Wanderers a few years ago but doing it with a bicycle on my shoulder was so much harder. Or maybe it was just that I did not have Di and Emma driving me on with jelly beans and banter.
Evan had a peaceful/lazy Saturday at home surfing and watching teev. The sea was pretty nice this morning I had a swim out beyond the surf and it was great. The rest of the fam is up in Queensland visiting Madonna, Micky and the newly arrived Sam.

Sorry if you have been having problems posting comments. I'm working on the spam/reality balance.
Looks like the blogspam module was a little overeager to call you a spambot so I'm going to try disabling it and we'll see how Mollom handles it.

“When the spirits are low, when the day appears dark, when work becomes monotonous, when hope hardly seems worth having, just mount a bicycle and go out for a spin down the road, without thought on anything but the ride you are taking.”
Sherlock Holmes author, Arthur Conan Doyle, Scientific American, 1896
