I spent half of Saturday avoiding the Cuddly Koala and Opal Vendors at Sydney airport. I could not get online to do any work as the Sydney Airport wifi, like most Aussie wifi is utterly useless. Not sure how much of their IT budget goes toward supplying wifi to international travellers but I'll bet Beijing Airport is doing it for half the price and, if you are reading this, it actually works (Although I'm pretty sure they'll be blocking my SSH connections back home to my server)
I mean I did have to use a passport scanning kiosk to get access and some poor bored official is probably responsible for monitoring all this inflammatory stuff I write. For example:
Bum, tits and willys.Forgive me twelve hours crammed into a chair designed for teeny tiny economy class passengers is enough to make one a bit crabby. Which brings me to another thing. What is a communist country doing having economy class anyway? pah!
I wonder if I can get a shower around this place... I have 5 or 6 hours to kill before my flight to London. I may have to go and ask one of those delightful policewomen on the Arrivals gate.

SSH does work but it turns out the wifi connection is about as reliable as chicken operating a rollerskate delivery business.....
