My Ma, Zaida, just jumped on the train to Newcastle earlier this morning. She has been staying in Sawtell Beach Haven for the past two months.

We had a lovely time, it was a great excuse for us to go on holidays. We went on a wonderful road trip to the Great Barrier Reef and camped at the beautiful 1770. I will never forget standing inside the coral cay surrounded by a circle of distant breaking waves. We enjoyed going to Nicole and Greg's Halloween party. Zaida had witchy stockings, green eyeshadow and matching nail polish, she started to doze off as the teenagers began to party. Later at Southwest Rocks, Zaida and Cheri paddled the kayaks over the bay and back against the wind, at least a 5km round trip.

It has been fantastic to see my Ma again, we had such a great time.
