Stealing presents

Emrys doesn't read my blog. He is only seven so his Pa's nerdly tinkerings don't matter to him. So, I can tell you all in strictest confidence what I bought him for his upcoming birthday (28/2).

Logically I had worked it out, Em loves music. He is musically inclined. Often, I have noticed, Em will get upset or excited over some music. Nobody in our house plays an instrument and singing is generally limited to the shower, driving or the occasional serenade in the kitchen. I did introduce harmonica's to our house a few years ago but nothing serious ever came of it. We have a few percussion instruments lying around which rarely get played. This is a shame and I mean to rectify it. So today I popped into toptown with my pal Cameron and visited the music shop. Within a couple of minutes I was leaving with a JCB yellow ukelele. Back at work I had a job to fix a computer for the wonderful Sue, so whilst I did she tuned the uke and played me a few jangly little tunes. Lovely.

Oh dear, the truth revealed itself. This uke was for me. Sorry Emrys.

Luckily ukes are cheap as chips so I bought another on the way home – now we can learn together.
