Camping at South West Rocks

»

Tuesday 10th, Jean-Claude arrived on his bicycle all the way from 1770, Qld. So he stayed a night on the lounge-room floor before we took off for a few days camping at South West Rocks by Trial Bay Gaol. Jean Claude followed us on his bike. The campsite was beautiful, the sea was muddy from the recent rains. Each day the water became clearer and bluer.

Each morning we were awoken by the usual cacophony of bird calls. Each night we watched the stars wheeling above us. Zaida looked after the boys whilst Cheri and I went for a beautiful walk along the coast to the Smoky Cape Lighthouse. I wish it could have been for longer ...

On the last morning Jean-Claude and I went for a paddle on the bay and saw 15-20 dolphins swimming past whilst the sun rise.
